ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how to improve blood collection in patients who have a hard time having their blood drawn. Researchers want to see if using two different types of catheters, which are small tubes placed in veins, can make it easier and more successful to collect blood samples. This study will help nurses provide better care when they need to draw blood from patients who might be difficult to work with.
To be part of this study, participants should be adults aged between 65 and 74 years or younger than 23. They need to have a medical condition called metabolic syndrome, which affects how the body processes sugar and fat. Participants should expect to stay in the hospital for 1 to 4 weeks and will need to have their blood drawn at least three times during that time. People with certain medical histories or conditions, like severe mental illness or pregnancy, won't be able to join the study. It's important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so it may take some time before it starts.
