ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how Mini-Gastric Bypass (MGB) surgery can help improve health problems related to obesity, such as diabetes, sleep apnea, and high blood pressure. The researchers want to see how changes in body weight and composition after the surgery are related to the improvement of these conditions. Participants will be people aged between 18 and 75 who are scheduled to have MGB surgery for their obesity and its related health issues.
If you or a loved one qualifies and chooses to participate, you will undergo the MGB surgery as usual, and there won’t be any extra treatments or procedures just for the study. The team will monitor your health after the surgery to understand how well it works for improving your weight and related medical problems. It's important to note that if someone has previously had a similar surgery or does not agree to participate, they won't be included in this study.
