ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how stress and nutrition affect our bodies over time. Researchers want to understand how what we eat interacts with stress, especially focusing on blood samples from healthy volunteers who will follow a specific diet. To create a stress response, participants will experience sleep deprivation for more than 36 hours. The study will also consider how hormonal changes related to the menstrual cycle might influence the results for female participants.
If you’re between the ages of 18 and 62, healthy, and have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 30, you might be eligible to participate. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as those who smoke, have a history of drug or alcohol abuse, or take regular medications (except for specific ones), will not be able to join. Participants can expect to provide blood samples during the study to help researchers learn more about how nutrition and stress impact our overall health. Understanding these connections may lead to better ways to prevent and treat various health issues in the future.
