ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment for people struggling with Gaming Disorder, which can affect both children and adults. While gaming is a fun activity for many, it can become a problem for some individuals. The researchers want to see if a specific therapy approach, based on cognitive behavioral therapy and family therapy, can help reduce the symptoms of Gaming Disorder and improve daily life. The treatment can be done one-on-one with the patient, with family members, or as a group involving both the patient and their family.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 13 years old, be fluent in Swedish, and be seeking help for their gaming problems. However, those with certain serious mental health conditions that could interfere with the treatment cannot participate. If someone joins the study, they can expect to receive this therapy designed to help them manage their gaming better and improve their overall well-being. The trial is currently looking for participants, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria, it might be a great opportunity to get support.
