ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a program called "HiRO" aimed at helping primary school students, aged 4 to 13, improve their social-emotional skills, self-esteem, and how they feel about their classmates. The trial will compare schools using the HiRO program—either with or without judo classes—to schools that follow their usual approach to social-emotional development. Researchers want to find out if HiRO can make students more caring towards others, reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, boost self-esteem, and improve how students perceive their relationships with peers.

All primary school children are eligible to participate, and there are no specific exclusions. Participants will complete questionnaires at three different times to share their experiences and feelings about their social skills and emotional health. This study is an important step in understanding how effective the HiRO program is compared to regular school programs in supporting children’s emotional and social growth.
