ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to find and manage early childhood caries, which is a type of tooth decay that affects young children. Researchers want to see if using telehealth methods—like video calls and online messaging—along with a system for referring children to dental care, can help control this condition. They are also looking at whether removing user fees (costs that families might have to pay) makes a difference in getting children the help they need.
To participate in this study, children must be under 6 years old and only have baby teeth. A parent or guardian will need to give written permission for their child to take part. Unfortunately, children who are older than 6, have permanent teeth, or have certain physical or intellectual disabilities cannot join the trial. If eligible, parents can expect to engage in telehealth appointments and receive guidance on how to manage their child's dental health. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to find effective ways to protect young children's teeth from decay.
