ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special mental health program delivered over the Internet for children and teens with cystic fibrosis (CF) and their healthy siblings. The main goal is to find out if this program can help reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, improve overall quality of life, and boost participants' confidence in managing their own health and goals. Participants will start by filling out an online survey about their health and feelings, complete the mental health program, and then answer follow-up surveys after they finish the program, as well as one and three months later.
To take part in this study, children should be between the ages of 8 and 12 and either have a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis or be a sibling of a child with CF. They also need to be able to read and speak English, as the program is only available in that language. Participants will be compared with another group that is not doing the program right away, so researchers can see how well the Internet-based program works. This study is not currently recruiting participants, but it aims to create a helpful resource for improving mental health and knowledge about cystic fibrosis.
