ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how exposure to certain chemicals called organophosphates can affect the nerves in our bodies. Researchers want to understand how these chemicals can cause nerve damage and whether they can lead to other health problems. The study aims to find out if specific markers (or signs) in the body can help predict nerve damage and if there are any harmful effects on our DNA from these chemicals.
If you are between the ages of 65 and 74 and are either healthy or have been exposed to organophosphates, you might be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will be grouped based on their exposure: those with acute (recent) exposure and those with chronic (long-term) exposure. It's important to note that this study is not open to children or individuals with certain neurological diseases. If you decide to join, you will help researchers learn more about the effects of organophosphates, which could lead to better understanding and treatments for nerve-related health issues.
