ClinConnect Summary

The StrokeCog Study is a clinical trial designed to explore a cognitive rehabilitation program for people who have experienced a stroke and are dealing with mild to moderate memory or thinking difficulties. The main goal of this study is to see how well we can recruit and keep participants in the program and to assess how effective the intervention might be for improving cognitive abilities. By gathering this information, researchers hope to determine whether a larger trial can be conducted in the future.

To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have had a stroke defined by specific medical codes. They should also live in the community, meaning they do not reside in a nursing home or other long-term care facility. However, those with certain conditions, such as severe cognitive impairment, dementia, or current psychiatric disorders, will not be eligible. Participants will be asked to provide their consent to join and will engage in follow-up assessments to track their progress. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to contribute to research that could help improve care for stroke survivors in the future.
