ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of pranayama yoga, a type of breathing exercise, on individuals with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The goal is to see if these yoga practices can help improve breathing, reduce symptoms, and enhance the overall quality of life for people with COPD. Participants will learn pranayama yoga techniques, which may also help them feel less anxious and depressed, improve their relationships, and promote better health habits.

To be eligible for the study, participants must be between the ages of 40 and 65 and have been diagnosed with mild to moderate COPD for at least six months. They should not have significant mental or physical disabilities that would prevent them from practicing yoga and must not have done pranayama yoga before. This study is currently recruiting participants, so those who join can expect to engage in a safe, effective practice that complements their existing treatment for COPD and may lead to improvements in their day-to-day life.
