ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new imaging technique called Photon Counting CT (PCCT) to see how well it can detect stress fractures in the legs and feet. Stress fractures are small cracks in the bones that usually happen because of repetitive stress, and they often occur in the lower limbs. Early and accurate diagnosis is very important for treatment, but traditional X-rays often miss these fractures, and while MRIs are more accurate, they can be harder to access and take longer to perform. The trial aims to find out if PCCT can provide a quicker and more effective way to diagnose these injuries while keeping radiation exposure low.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 16 years old, have a suspected stress fracture in your lower leg or foot, and agree to take part in the research with written consent. If you are selected, you will undergo the PCCT imaging and also have an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. Certain individuals, such as pregnant women or those with metal implants, cannot participate. This trial is currently recruiting participants and is open to anyone, regardless of gender. Your involvement could help improve how stress fractures are diagnosed and treated in the future!
