ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to help manage high blood pressure, also known as hypertension, using a method called Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS). TENS uses low-frequency electrical pulses to stimulate nerves and has been traditionally used to relieve pain. Researchers want to see if applying TENS on different parts of the body can help lower blood pressure and improve heart and blood vessel function in people with hypertension.
To participate in this study, you would need to have a diagnosis of high blood pressure, with specific measurements indicating your levels are above normal. However, there are certain conditions that would exclude you from the trial, such as having a heart condition like congestive heart failure or a cardiac pacemaker. If you decide to join, you’ll be part of a process that aims to find new, non-drug treatments for controlling blood pressure, which could be beneficial for many people in the future. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so stay tuned for updates if you're interested!
