ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the quality of life in children who are undergoing a special treatment called hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for serious blood disorders like Thalassemia Major and Acute Leukemia. The goal is to track how these children's well-being changes over the first year after their transplant and to find out what factors might influence their recovery. Researchers will look at the children's health at six different times, starting just before treatment and continuing for a year after the transplant. By understanding these changes, doctors hope to identify ways to improve care and support for these young patients.
To participate in this study, children need to be between 0 and 18 years old and will be receiving a stem cell infusion. They should be able to understand and communicate their feelings about their health. If the child is younger than 8, a caregiver with a good education level will need to help. Children with serious mental health issues or major organ problems are not eligible. Participants will complete assessments that help researchers measure their quality of life, and this information will help shape better care for future patients.
