ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how blood flow to the leg muscles of stroke survivors affects their ability to exercise without getting tired. After a stroke, many people find that their muscles get fatigued more quickly, which can make activities like walking harder. The researchers are looking into a method called ischemic conditioning, a safe and non-invasive technique that may help improve blood flow to these muscles and reduce fatigue during exercise.

To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 18 and 85 years old, have had a stroke at least six months ago, and be able to communicate in English. Participants will undergo tests to assess their muscle function and may experience the ischemic conditioning treatment during the study. It's important to note that some health conditions, like severe high blood pressure or recent heart problems, may prevent someone from joining. This trial aims to help improve physical activity and quality of life for stroke survivors by understanding and enhancing muscle performance.
