ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new software called qER, developed by Qure.AI, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help doctors quickly identify problems in CT scans of the head. The goal is to see if this software can speed up the time it takes for radiologists to report on scans from patients who come to the Emergency Department with urgent neurological issues, such as trauma, stroke, or seizures. By prioritizing scans that show abnormalities, the trial aims to improve patient care and reduce waiting times in busy hospitals.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be individuals who are undergoing a non-contrast CT scan of the head in the Emergency Department. The trial is recruiting patients aged 65 and older, and both men and women can participate. If you join the study, you can expect that your CT scan will be analyzed by the qER software, which is designed to assist doctors in quickly reviewing and addressing potential health issues. This trial is taking place at four NHS hospitals across the UK, and your involvement could help improve how quickly hospitals manage critical cases in the future.
