ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating whether using topical adrenaline (a medication that helps constrict blood vessels) is more effective than warm saline solution in reducing bleeding during cesarean deliveries for women with placenta previa and placenta accreta spectrum (PAS). These conditions can lead to severe bleeding during childbirth, which can be life-threatening. The trial aims to see if applying adrenaline can help control this bleeding better than the warm saline solution.

To participate in this study, women aged 18 to 40 who are pregnant with placenta previa and PAS may be eligible, provided they are in stable health and have a body mass index (BMI) under 35. Unfortunately, women who are experiencing heavy bleeding or have significant medical conditions like heart problems won't be able to join. Participants will receive treatment during their cesarean delivery and will be monitored for any differences in bleeding control between the two methods being tested. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it plays an important role in finding safer options for managing bleeding in these complex cases.
