ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Metabolically Healthy Obese," is focused on understanding why some obese children and teenagers don’t develop health problems linked to obesity, while others do. Researchers want to learn more about how factors like body fat distribution, muscle strength, and physical activity levels affect health in these young individuals. By studying these aspects, the goal is to find out what makes some obese adolescents healthier than others.
To participate in this study, children aged 10 to 18 who are attending the obesity clinic at Dana-Dwek Children's Hospital in Tel Aviv can apply. However, those with certain health issues, like heart disease or conditions affecting body composition, will not be eligible. If chosen to participate, young individuals can expect to undergo various assessments related to their health and lifestyle, helping researchers gather important information that could improve care for obese children in the future.
