ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how well Virtual Reality (VR) can help nursing students learn to triage patients in emergency situations, specifically during mass casualty incidents (MCIs). Triage is the process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their conditions. In this study, some nursing students will train using VR technology, while others will receive traditional education, like lectures and written materials. The researchers want to find out if VR helps students make better and faster triage decisions compared to standard training.
To participate in this trial, students must be enrolled in a nursing program and taking a disaster medicine or emergency care course in their fifth semester. The study is currently recruiting participants, and all nursing students who fit the criteria are welcome to join. Those who participate can expect to either engage in immersive VR training or follow the usual classroom learning. This study aims to improve how future nurses handle emergencies, which could ultimately save lives.
