ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on helping East Asian immigrants who have been diagnosed with cancer to have important conversations about their future care options, known as advance care planning. The researchers are developing a digital program that is specially designed to meet the cultural needs of these individuals, encouraging them to talk openly with their family caregivers about their wishes and preferences regarding medical treatment.

To participate in this study, patients need to be at least 18 years old, have a cancer diagnosis, and be able to communicate in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, or Korean. They should also have a family caregiver willing to join in the discussions. Participants will use a digital tool that helps them prepare for these conversations, making it easier to express their thoughts and feelings about their care. This trial is currently looking for participants, and it offers a unique opportunity for patients and their caregivers to engage in meaningful discussions that can significantly impact their quality of life.
