ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new device called the "Nasr Fascial Closure Device," which is designed to help close the tissue after laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder stones (a condition known as cholecystolithiasis). Researchers want to compare how effective and safe this new device is compared to a currently used device called the Karl Storz Berci Fascial Closure Device.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and scheduled to undergo laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which is a minimally invasive surgery to remove the gallbladder. If you choose to participate, you will help scientists understand if this new closure device works better than the existing option. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders aged between 65 and 74, but anyone over 18 who qualifies for the surgery can participate. This study aims to improve surgical outcomes and could potentially lead to better recovery experiences for future patients.
