ClinConnect Summary
The Attend-PE project is a clinical trial designed to improve the care of patients who have experienced a pulmonary embolism (PE), which is a serious condition where a blood clot blocks blood flow to the lungs. The trial aims to create and test a structured follow-up program for these patients, helping to ensure they receive consistent and effective care after their initial treatment. This is important because many patients face health challenges both physically and mentally after a PE, and currently, there is no standard follow-up process in Denmark or many other places.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74, have a confirmed diagnosis of PE through a CT scan, and be expected to live for at least another year. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive structured support and follow-up care to help manage your health after the event. This study is actively recruiting participants and aims to make a significant difference in how patients are cared for after experiencing a pulmonary embolism.
