ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help doctors learn how to perform a specific procedure called Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate, or HoLEP, more effectively. This procedure is used to treat a condition called benign prostatic obstruction (BPO), which can cause difficulties with urination due to an enlarged prostate. The trial aims to assess how quickly new doctors can become skilled at this procedure through a structured learning plan, making it easier for them to adopt this technique.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be male patients with an enlarged prostate of at least 40 cc who need surgery for BPO. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as prostate cancer, a history of previous prostate surgery, or specific urinary symptoms, will not be included. If you choose to participate, you can expect to be part of a study that helps improve the training for doctors, which could lead to better treatment options for patients in the future. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so there is an opportunity to contribute to important research in this area.
