ClinConnect Summary
The PolyImPAct Study is a clinical trial that aims to understand how certain conditions that affect the nerves, known as polyneuropathies, impact muscle strength, mobility, and daily activities. The trial will look at various measurements, such as how well patients can walk, balance, and perform fine motor tasks, as well as how active they are in their day-to-day lives. Researchers will also compare these results with healthy adults to see how polyneuropathy affects functioning differently.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of polyneuropathy confirmed by nerve tests. Healthy individuals over 18 can also join as control participants, but those with certain health issues like diabetes or other nerve-related diseases will not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to take part in assessments that will help researchers gather important information about how these conditions affect physical abilities and quality of life. This study is currently recruiting participants, so it’s a great opportunity to contribute to understanding and improving care for people with these nerve conditions.
