ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the long-term performance of two types of heart valves used in valve replacement surgeries: biological (or tissue) valves and mechanical valves. The goal is to find out which type of valve works better for different patients with heart valve disease. By looking at data from a hospital's medical records and health insurance databases from 2007 to 2019, researchers hope to gather valuable information that can help doctors make better recommendations for their patients.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be diagnosed with valve diseases and have had valve replacement surgery. However, individuals under 20 years old cannot take part in the study. Since this research is based on existing data, participants won't need to undergo any extra procedures or visits. This trial aims to provide important insights that could improve treatment choices for patients with valve heart disease in the future.
