ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well healthcare providers can learn to use a special ultrasound technique called transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) to see certain nerve structures in the lower back area, specifically the sacral plexus. These nerve structures can be important in diagnosing conditions like endometriosis, nerve sheath tumors, and radiculopathy (which is pain caused by nerve irritation). The goal is to find out how many practice sessions a provider needs to become skilled at this process.
To be part of the study, participants need to be women aged 65 to 74 who are experiencing pelvic pain and are scheduled for a TVUS. Women who are under 18, have never been sexually active, are pregnant, or have certain types of pelvic cancers cannot take part in this trial. Those who participate can expect to undergo a TVUS and help researchers learn how to improve this important diagnostic tool for women's health. The study is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it aims to enhance the understanding of how to effectively use this ultrasound technique.
