ClinConnect Summary
The Placenta Perfusion and Sufficiency Study is a clinical trial that aims to understand how blood flows to and from the uterus during pregnancy. Researchers will use a special imaging technique called ultrasonography to measure the blood vessels related to the placenta. This study hopes to gather important information that could help in diagnosing and treating placenta-related conditions in the future.
To participate in this study, women must be at least 18 years old, between 14 to 16 weeks pregnant, and have a placenta positioned at the front of the uterus. They should also have a body mass index (BMI) below 30 and be able to communicate in Dutch or English. If eligible, participants can expect a non-invasive ultrasound procedure to measure blood flow, contributing valuable data to improve our understanding of healthy pregnancies. It's important to note that women with certain conditions, like multiple pregnancies or specific pregnancy complications, cannot take part in this study.
