ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying ways to help people who have experienced Long COVID, particularly those struggling with cognitive issues like memory and attention, often described as "brain fog." The researchers want to find out if treatments such as acupuncture and self-management techniques—like breathing exercises and qigong—can improve cognitive function in COVID-19 survivors who have been dealing with these symptoms for at least 12 weeks. The trial will include 100 participants who will be randomly placed into different groups to receive either acupuncture, lifestyle management, a combination of both, or be part of a waitlist control group.

To be eligible for this study, participants must have had a confirmed COVID-19 infection at least three months prior and currently report some cognitive difficulties. However, those with severe cognitive issues or certain medical conditions that could affect their thinking skills won’t be able to participate. Over the course of eight weeks, participants can expect to attend two sessions a week, and their cognitive function will be assessed at different stages to see how well the treatments work. This study aims to provide effective ways to improve the quality of life for those affected by Long COVID symptoms.
