ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how pain sensitivity is related to certain tests in people who have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Specifically, the study aims to see if there are specific measurement values from ultrasound and nerve tests that can help identify patients who develop increased pain sensitivity. Researchers want to understand if there are connections between these pain thresholds and the results from imaging and nerve studies of the median nerve, which is the main nerve affected in CTS.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to have a confirmed diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome and must agree to take part in the research. However, those with certain other health conditions, like diabetes or inflammatory diseases, or those who have had surgery for CTS, cannot participate. If you join the study, you will undergo various tests to help the researchers gather information about your pain sensitivity and nerve function. This could provide valuable insights for better understanding and treating carpal tunnel syndrome in the future.
