ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the SafeSpace Sexual Health App, which aims to help young people assigned female or intersex at birth make healthier choices about their sexual health. The program is especially focused on supporting Black and/or Latine youth, LGBTQ+ youth, and those living in rural areas or states with high teen birth rates. Participants in the study will use the SafeSpace app for 10 weeks and will be compared to a group using a different app that focuses on general health. The goal is to see how well the SafeSpace app helps reduce risky sexual behaviors and improve overall sexual health.
To be part of this study, participants must be between 14 and 18 years old, have daily access to an iPhone, and be assigned female or intersex at birth. They should not be pregnant or trying to become pregnant. Those who join will need to keep the app on their phone, check in regularly, respond to surveys about their experiences, and may receive occasional text messages from the research team. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to learn more about sexual health in a supportive environment.
