ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called EpiFaith CV, is studying a new device designed to help doctors place central venous catheters more safely and efficiently. A central venous catheter is a thin tube inserted into a large vein, often used for patients who need long-term medication or fluids. The EpiFaith CV device automatically checks for blood pressure and helps draw blood, which could make the process quicker compared to traditional methods that use a syringe. The goal is to see if this new device can reduce the time it takes to complete the procedure.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for surgery that requires a central venous catheter. You should also be willing to give your consent and be informed about the study. Doctors participating in the trial must have experience placing central venous catheters. If you have any skin problems at the insertion site, a bleeding disorder, or are unstable in your condition, you won’t be eligible. This study is currently not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to improve patient safety and efficiency in medical care.
