ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how lymphedema, a condition that can cause swelling in the arms, develops after breast cancer surgery. The researchers want to learn more about the changes that happen in the lymphatic system and surrounding tissues, which could help in early diagnosis and better management of this condition. To do this, they will recruit female patients who have had or are expected to have breast cancer surgery. Participants will be between the ages of 20 and 80 and need to be able to follow the study instructions without significant cognitive or emotional challenges.
If you join the trial, you'll undergo several non-invasive tests to check the flow in your lymphatic system, measure the swelling in your arm, and assess the health of your tissues. The study aims to look at how these different factors are related and how they change over time. It’s important to note that participants must not have any open wounds or severe arm mobility issues, and should be able to manage daily measurements. Your involvement could contribute valuable information to help improve the understanding and treatment of lymphedema in breast cancer patients.
