ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how Tai Chi, a gentle form of exercise, can help older adults who have trouble with balance and walking. The researchers want to find out if practicing Tai Chi can improve balance and overall quality of life for these individuals. To do this, they will divide participants into two groups: one group will practice Tai Chi for 12 weeks, while the other group will continue with their usual daily activities, like simple walking or stretching.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 60 years old and have mild issues with walking, but they should be able to walk independently. Those who are younger than 60, have serious walking problems, or have practiced Tai Chi recently will not be able to join. If you or someone you know meets these criteria and is interested in improving balance and quality of life through Tai Chi, this study might be a good fit. Participants can expect to engage in a supportive environment while exploring the benefits of Tai Chi.
