ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding the patterns of upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) in children who come to Insohag University Hospital. GIB is a serious condition where there is bleeding in the digestive tract, and it can show up in different ways, such as vomiting blood or having black, tarry stools. The study aims to identify the causes of this bleeding and how to treat it effectively using a procedure called endoscopy, which allows doctors to see inside the digestive tract and find the source of the bleeding.
Eligible participants for this trial are children under 18 years old who experience upper or lower gastrointestinal bleeding. Unfortunately, those with bleeding due to other systemic health issues won't be included. If chosen to participate, families can expect to undergo endoscopy and other assessments to help doctors better understand the child's condition and improve treatment options. This trial is important because it seeks to gather valuable information that can help enhance care for children facing this serious health issue.
