ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how health education can improve the understanding and rates of influenza vaccinations among primary school students in Dongguan, China. The researchers will involve students aged 7 to 12 who are in grades 4 and 5. They will select 20 primary schools at random, splitting them into two groups. One group will receive special monthly lessons about the flu vaccine for five months, while the other group will continue with their regular health education. By the end of the study, the researchers will compare the vaccination rates and knowledge about the flu vaccine between the two groups to see if the health education made a difference.
To be eligible to participate, students must be between 7 and 12 years old, live in Dongguan, and have permission from their parents. They should also be healthy enough to receive the flu vaccine and not have had the vaccine recently. Participants can expect to learn more about the importance of getting vaccinated against the flu through engaging lessons, and their involvement will help researchers understand how education can encourage more children to get vaccinated.
