ClinConnect Summary
The GO MOVE clinical trial is exploring a mobile website designed to help young people with hemiplegic cerebral palsy and their caregivers set goals and choose exercises to achieve those goals. The main focus of the study is to find out if the Go Move website is helpful and acceptable for these youth and their families. Participants will be involved in a home program using the website for about 1 hour and 15 minutes each week over six weeks, and they will complete assessments before and after this period to see how well they did.
To join the trial, participants need to be between 3 and 17 years old and have a diagnosis of unilateral cerebral palsy or a similar brain injury that affects one side of their body. They should be able to follow directions and use the Go Move website on a personal device. However, those with uncontrolled epilepsy, serious vision problems, or severe behavioral issues won’t be eligible. This trial is open to all ethnic and racial groups, and it aims to provide valuable insights into how technology can support the physical development of children with cerebral palsy.
