ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help expectant mothers prepare for childbirth using a self-operated ultrasound device at home. The goal is to see if using this device for visual feedback can help women feel less afraid of giving birth, give them more control during labor, and lead to a smoother delivery. Participants will be divided into three groups: one group will use the ultrasound both at home and in the hospital, another will use it only in the hospital, and the last group will receive standard ultrasound care without the visual feedback. The study will focus on women who are expecting their first child, have a single baby, and are planning a vaginal delivery.
Eligible participants should be between 37 to 39 weeks pregnant and considered low risk for complications. They will be asked to fill out some questionnaires about their experiences and feelings before and after using the ultrasound. This trial could potentially change the way women prepare for childbirth by providing education and support that reduces the chances of negative experiences during and after labor. If the results are positive, it may lead to better outcomes for both mothers and their babies.
