ClinConnect Summary
The ReceptIVFity Test clinical trial is studying how a new tool can help women who are planning to undergo IVF (in vitro fertilization) or IVF-ICSI (a specialized form of IVF) to better understand their chances of having a successful pregnancy. The trial compares two approaches: one where the doctor makes decisions about the treatment based on the test results, and another where patients are more involved in the decision-making process. Researchers want to see if these different approaches affect the likelihood of achieving a successful pregnancy and the number of IVF cycles needed.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 to 43 who are starting IVF for the first time and are willing to provide a sample for the ReceptIVFity test are eligible. Participants can expect to undergo one to three IVF cycles, with their health insurance covering the costs. Women from non-European backgrounds can also join the study but will be part of a different observational group where they will proceed with their IVF cycles without additional testing. This trial aims to reduce unnecessary stress and disappointment while improving the chances of a successful pregnancy.
