ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new way to guide shoulder injections using Augmented Reality (AR) enhanced Ultrasound. The researchers want to see if this method is better than the standard Ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance (a technique that uses X-rays to see inside the body) for helping doctors place the needle accurately during joint injections. They will be looking at how long the procedures take, how many times the needle needs to be repositioned, and whether using AR Ultrasound results in less radiation exposure compared to fluoroscopy.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 18 and 99 years old and scheduled for either fluoroscopic or Ultrasound-guided injections. However, those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or not willing to join the study will not be eligible. If you take part, you can expect to be assigned to one of the three methods of guidance for your injection, and your experience will help researchers understand which method is the most effective and safe. This study is not yet recruiting participants, so stay tuned for updates if you or someone you know is interested!
