ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how music, specifically lullabies and white noise, can help reduce stress in newborns and improve breastfeeding success for mothers. Researchers believe that playing soothing music during breastfeeding may make babies calmer, help them relax, and encourage better communication between mother and baby. The study will include healthy newborns who are 24 hours old and their mothers, with the goal of understanding how these sounds can support both the baby’s comfort and the mother’s breastfeeding experience.
To participate in this study, mothers need to be over 18 years old, able to speak Turkish, and breastfeeding a healthy newborn who was born at full term (between 38-42 weeks), weighs between 2500-4000 grams, and has a good health score (APGAR of 7 or higher). Unfortunately, mothers who are unable to breastfeed or do not wish to take part in the study will not be included. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how music can positively impact the early days of motherhood and newborn care.
