ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the experiences of people living with HIV who may also face oral and throat cancers. The study aims to understand the challenges and advantages these individuals encounter when trying to access oral health care. It will also look at their knowledge about the HPV vaccine, which can help prevent certain types of cancers, and gather suggestions on how to improve access to dental care and cancer prevention for this community.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, living with HIV, and able to speak and understand English. The study welcomes individuals from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, as well as those identifying as part of sexual and gender minority groups. Although the study is not yet recruiting, once it starts, participants can expect to share their thoughts and experiences in a supportive environment, helping to create better health care solutions for themselves and others in similar situations.
