ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how nature walks can help reduce stress and improve health in certain communities, specifically focusing on Black, Latinx, Pilipinx, and Pacific Islander groups. The study involves a 9-month program where participants will first take guided walks in a beautiful redwood forest for six months. After that, they can choose their own nature activities with family or friends for an additional three months. Researchers will look at both physical and mental health changes to see if spending time in nature can help combat the stress that often leads to health problems.
To participate, you need to be at least 18 years old and able to walk without assistance. You should be willing to commit to the full 9-month program and be able to communicate in English, Spanish, or Tagalog. Unfortunately, pregnant individuals, prisoners, and those with cognitive impairments cannot join. If you’re interested in reducing stress and improving your well-being through nature, this may be a great opportunity for you!
