ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Reciting Tang Poems to Promote Happiness," is exploring how reading and reciting traditional Chinese Tang poems can help increase happiness and well-being among primary school children from ethnic minority backgrounds in Hong Kong. The study involves fun sessions where children will recite Tang poems together, and the researchers want to see if those who recite more poems feel happier and more engaged. The trial is currently looking for participants, specifically children aged 6 to 12 who are in Grades 1 or 2 and can communicate in simple Cantonese or English.
To participate, children need to have permission from their parents, and they must be able to engage with the activities. Those who are physically or mentally unable to communicate, don’t want to join even if their parents agree, or are already very familiar with Tang poems won’t be eligible. During the trial, participants can expect to take part in three poetry recitation sessions and one performance, making it a fun and interactive way to explore poetry while potentially boosting their happiness!
