ClinConnect Summary

The VIBE-Rx2 trial is studying how a special machine that provides whole-body vibration might help reduce knee pain and inflammation in older adults with osteoarthritis. Researchers believe that using this machine for 12 weeks could make it easier for people to move around and feel less pain by improving their blood flow and lowering inflammation in the body.

To participate in this trial, you need to be between 40 and 75 years old and have been experiencing knee pain from osteoarthritis for at least six months. However, if you have had any major knee surgeries in the past three years, have a history of balance problems or falls, or if you are pregnant, you won’t be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to use the whole-body vibration machine and help researchers learn more about how it can benefit people like you. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into treating knee pain in older adults.
