ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different ways to manage pain after laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, also known as cholecystectomy. The researchers want to compare two types of pain relief techniques—quadratus lumborum block (QLB) and transverse abdominis plane block (TAPB)—with traditional intravenous painkillers. The goal is to see if using these nerve blocks can help patients experience less pain after surgery and reduce their need for stronger pain medications like morphine.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 70 years old and scheduled for gallbladder surgery. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it is important that eligible patients have a physical health status classified as ASA I to III, which means they are generally healthy or have mild to moderate health problems. If you decide to join, you can expect to receive one of the pain management techniques during your surgery and be monitored for how well it works afterward. Your participation could help improve pain management options for future patients undergoing similar procedures.
