ClinConnect Summary
The ISCREEN study is looking at a new way to check for eye problems in older adults who receive healthcare at home. The main goal is to see if having a nurse help with online eye screenings can effectively reduce eye issues and whether it is a cost-effective approach. This trial is currently recruiting participants who are 65 years or older, can understand Dutch, and are able to take part in research.
To be eligible, participants should be receiving home healthcare for other health issues, but they cannot have serious illnesses like terminal conditions or advanced cognitive impairments. Those who have recently seen an eye doctor in the last six months are also not included. If you join this study, you can expect to participate in an online eye screening process with support from a nurse, which could help improve how eye care is delivered to patients at home.
