ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how our genes might affect how some people use cannabis and their risk for cannabis use disorder (CanUD), as well as how they respond to cannabis and treatments for addiction. With cannabis becoming more available and stronger in many places, understanding these factors is important, especially since cannabis use can lead to issues like psychosis and cognitive problems. The researchers are particularly interested in people who may have a genetic vulnerability to these conditions and how this connects to disorders like schizophrenia.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 21 and 60 years old and cannot have any major medical issues or be pregnant. If you’re selected, you’ll help researchers learn more about the genetic links to cannabis use and its effects. This study aims to provide valuable insights that could help in developing better treatments for those struggling with cannabis-related issues. If you or someone you know meets the criteria and is interested in contributing to this important research, please consider getting involved!
