ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how pressure inside the abdomen (called intraperitoneal pressure) relates to complications that can happen during peritoneal dialysis, a treatment for kidney failure. Researchers want to find out if high pressure in the abdomen is linked to problems like fluid leaks, hernias, and digestive issues in patients receiving this type of dialysis. By understanding these connections, the study aims to improve care for patients using peritoneal dialysis.
To be part of this study, participants must be 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with end-stage renal failure, which means they need peritoneal dialysis to help their kidneys. They should also be able to agree to participate and follow the study's guidelines. However, anyone with an allergy to the dialysis solution or who cannot follow the study rules will not be eligible. While the study is not yet recruiting participants, those who join will help doctors learn more about managing complications related to peritoneal dialysis.
