ClinConnect Summary
The CARE-PC Pilot Feasibility Study is looking at ways to improve heart health for men with prostate cancer who are undergoing a specific type of treatment called Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT). The main goal of the study is to help patients understand their personal heart health risks and what they can do to lower those risks. To achieve this, participants will use a web-based tool that provides education about heart health and gives personalized risk estimates along with practical suggestions for improving their cardiovascular care.
To be eligible for this study, you need to be a man over 18 years old who has prostate cancer and is currently receiving or will receive at least six months of ADT. You should also be able to read and understand English. If you join the study, you will have the opportunity to use this online tool, which aims to enhance your understanding of your heart health and help you access better care. The study is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could contribute to important advancements in how prostate cancer patients manage their cardiovascular health.
