ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how to better measure inflammation in children and teenagers with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), which include Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The researchers are using a special medical device that looks at how patients respond to different types of sensory nerves. By gathering this information, the study aims to understand how active the disease is and improve treatment options for young patients.

To participate in this trial, children must be at least 6 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of IBD. However, those with serious eye conditions that prevent certain tests, or who have developmental or psychological challenges that may affect their ability to participate, will not be eligible. If your child joins the study, they will help researchers learn more about their condition and may receive more tailored treatment based on the findings. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and both boys and girls are welcome to take part.
