ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to measure the length of the small intestine in patients who are planning to have weight-loss surgery, also known as bariatric surgery. Researchers want to use advanced imaging techniques, like CT and MRI scans, to create a method that is both reliable and easy to use. This information could help doctors better understand how to treat obesity in patients who have not had success with dieting or other medical treatments.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 18 and 75 years old and have a body mass index (BMI) of over 35, along with health issues related to obesity. They should also have tried to lose weight through diet or medication for at least six months without success. If you join this trial, you’ll undergo imaging tests to help researchers gather important data. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to improve the way doctors assess and treat obesity, ultimately leading to better outcomes for patients seeking surgical options.
